President Antonio rang the bell at 7pm and started our regular meeting. Tonight we have a very special guest, Special Representative Richard Zi!
SR Richard gave a very engaging speech on Rotary China and how while membership in other mature markets like USA and Europe are stagnent or declining, membership in China is still low and has the potential to overtake other regions. He also adviced all clubs in china to follow and respect the local chinese law and continue our work in accordance. During Q&A, Rtn Roberto questioned if it was possible to set up a special interest group focusing on non-rotarian activities like Cigars or wine. SR Richard was quick to comment that he would support such an idea as in other parts of the world, there are many special interest group focusing on social activities that members enjoy like wine.
After the speech, the club took the chance to take a group photo with SR Richard, visiting rotarians and other guests
