However, he began his career in wartime humanitarian aid in Africa with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. He has worked in Somalia, Rwanda, D.R. Congo, Former Yugoslavia, and Iraq.

Liu Xiaomei received her first MA degree in Anthropology Religion Studies at Sichuan University and her second MA in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at Branford University in the UK. Ms. Liu is the first Chinese winner of the Rotary Foundation World Peace Fellowship. She is passionate about strengthening the capacity of Chinese local grass-root communities to preserve their culture and the environment through conservation. Xiaomei has over six years of working experience in the environmental protection field specializing in non-profit organizational development and management. She and her team have supported over 40 grass-roots environmental NGOs in Southwest China.

Rosie has an undergraduate degree from Temple University in Finance, business certification from Wharton Business School, and masters from Conflict Resolution and Negotiations from Columbia University. Prior to enrolling at Columbia University, Rosie worked in the business field for 19 years in mid-senior management level. In 2016, Rosie worked for United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime in Myanmar for 6 months performing conflict analysis in Myanmar. Prior to Myanmar, she travelled to Greece on a scholarship to learn about Syrian refuges crises and solutions. In 2017, she was awarded a UN fellowship to Palestine. As a graduate student, Rosie taught for Columbia University’s youth program, worked on Nepal water Project to research water solutions in Nepal, and was employed by the university in Columbia’s Educational seminars. She also worked as a research assistant for Columbia Law School professor Kimberly Crenshaw. Currently, Rosie works for GreatChina as Global projects advisor using the education platform to design community projects that increase education and solution awareness on global issues among Chinese students.

Linda Garceau is a management professional with expertise in business development, strategic planning, start-up companies and philanthropy. She earned a Master of Arts Degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. After receiving her MBA, Linda formed a consulting company that provides strategic planning and development services to a variety of organizations. She has particular expertise in all aspects of planned and major giving including charitable trusts, gift annuities, bequests, major outright gifts and capital campaigns. She has recruited, managed and trained a number of volunteer boards.
